Refund Policy

Last updated: April 20, 2026

The short version

All sales are final. We do not issue refunds simply because you chose not to launch a case — your purchase holds an unopened case in your Library for 90 days, and you can launch it whenever you're ready. We do refund where something on our end went wrong, or for duplicate or accidental charges. Details below.

What "launched" means

A case is launched the moment you tap Begin investigation from your Library. From that point, the case truth, suspects, and AI interrogation are unsealed and the experience begins.

Cases that you bought and held but never launched stay in your Library for 90 days, ready for game night. Choosing not to launch within that window does not entitle you to a refund.

When we will refund

  • Technical fault on our end (the case did not load, the AI was unavailable for an extended period, the engine crashed your run) — full refund, even after launch.
  • Duplicate or accidental charge — refunded immediately when reported.
  • Where consumer law in your country mandates a refund right we cannot waive — we honour it.

When we cannot refund

  • You decided not to launch the case. The 90-day hold window is your buffer.
  • The case has been launched and the access window has started.
  • You completed the case and want a refund because you got the verdict wrong.
  • Reactivation purchases (the 30%-off coupon after expiry) — same rules as a fresh purchase. Once relaunched, the new 7-day window starts.

EU consumer rights

If you are in the EU/EEA, by completing checkout you expressly consent to immediate performance of the digital content and acknowledge that you lose the standard 14-day right of withdrawal once performance has begun, in line with the Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU, Art. 16(m)). Case content (truth, suspects, AI prompts) is unsealed and made available to your account at the moment of purchase, which is when performance begins — not when you tap Begin investigation. Mandatory consumer protections in your country still apply where they cannot be waived.
