Help & FAQ
Common questions
Quick answers to the questions we hear most often.
How does group play actually work?
One person — usually whoever bought the case — runs the investigation on their phone. They mirror or cast the screen to a TV so the whole room can read along. Everyone discusses out loud, and the phone-holder taps the actions the group agrees on.
Do I need a TV?
No, but the experience is built for one. The interface uses larger type and stronger contrast specifically so it's readable from across a couch. On a phone alone it still plays — just sit close.
What kinds of crimes do the cases cover?
SOLVR covers serious crime investigations across multiple categories — homicide, major fraud, arson, conspiracy, and more. Each case is filed under a specific crime type so you know what you're getting before you buy.
When does my 7-day access start?
The clock starts the moment you open a case from your Files for the first time — not when you buy. Buy ahead with confidence. We'll hold an unopened case for 90 days.
Can we replay a case?
Yes — as many times as you want during your active 7-day window. Each new run is fresh, and we keep your previous run history visible.
What happens after my access expires?
The case becomes read-only in your files. You can reactivate it for 30% off within 14 days of expiry. Your investigation history stays intact.
How does the AI work without breaking the case?
The AI only handles how suspects talk, not what's true. The case's facts, evidence, and solution are authored by hand — the AI stays in character and on-script. Every critical clue has a clear, authored path so the room can always reach the verdict.
What does "provably solvable" mean?
Every SOLVR case is validated before publish: each critical clue is reachable through a deterministic chain of authored questions, evidence, and pressure thresholds. The AI suspects only style their answers — they can't hide a fact you're entitled to discover, and they can't invent one. After the verdict, "The Deduction Chain" panel shows you the exact step-by-step proof of guilt.
What if we get the verdict wrong?
If you have questions or revisits left, you return to the investigation. If you're out of resources, the case ends and the post-game report shows you exactly what you missed and how close you were.
What's your refund policy?
All sales are final. Purchases are non-refundable simply because you decided not to launch a case — your unopened case stays in your Library for 90 days and can be launched whenever you're ready. If something technical went wrong on our end, we'll make it right.
